The success of a Swiss online travel company in the local market was waiting for international scaling.
After a thorough assessment of the Swiss business model and assets, we defined an internationalisation roadmap and secured the seed funding for the initial phase to replatform the current solution and hire a dedicated team for the business operations.
The team was setup as planned and expanded with a nearshoring development team to launch the new platform in time and budget. Despite managing to secure total financing close to CHF 2 Mio the road to the planned Series A was too steep and bumpy. So we had to merge the newly created entity with its Swiss sibling and the business was refocussed to its origin.
